Building something from scratch

I have three main responsibilities. I do controlling in the IT department within our region, doing all necessary reporting and planning / budgeting.
I'm supporting the Management as well and taking part in projects that BBS EMEA Nordic team carries out or participates in.

The project activities in IT are my favorite because you are often building something from scratch. Working on a project is also teamwork which is nice because you get to work across borders with highly skilled experts.

Why Bayer?

I have worked in Bayer for several years now. I like Bayer because it gives many possibilities, challenges, and constant change. I started as an F&A Manager of Bayer in Croatia and now I am part of the BBS EMEA-Nordic team. You might say that before I was a user of the IT systems and now I am on the provider side for customer services.

About the IT team – ERP, SAP, BayMAP/MAPICS, Infrastructure, IT Support, Projects

IT works on a Nordic level with 39 people covering Scandinavia, the Baltics, and Finland. The team consists of three main areas: ITO (Infrastructure & Technical Operation), SC (Service Centre) and Bay4S Support.

ITO runs and maintains all kind of hardware and very often the related applications such as CRM, Lotus Notes etc., and carries out User Support. All this is done as an operational part of the EMEA regional IT-Services.

The Service Centre is hosting/maintaining AS/400 system and supporting users of ERP system BayMAP/MAPICS in Bayer companies within EMEA region while the Bay4S area is providing local support to users of Bay4S ERP System within the Nordics.

IT Activities
Bayer’s product portfolio covers such diverse products as plastic, crop protection supplements, and medicine for humans and animals. It is the task of IT to design IT processes and ensure support that works equally well, no matter the product. All customers must receive the same service. IT projects vary from SAP roll-out to approval rights, quality assurance systems, and customer tailored process management tools such as CRM systems.
