Bent Arheden
– Nordic Account Manager BMS PUR
Customer visits, customer requests, offers, business plans
Focusing on customer needs
Most of my time is centred on the customers. Roughly 60% of my time I spend on visiting them or
visiting our head quarters in Leverkusen together with the customers.
The rest of the time I write offers for our customers, I report from customer visits and I
plan new visits alone or with my colleagues, e.g. technicians from Germany.
I also have to follow up requests from our customers coming from price negotiations or there
might be new requirements due to new health & safety demands, new requests on order sizes,
delivery times, etc.
It is also my job to do budgets and make plans for future business.
What I like about my job
One of the things that I like about my job is the variety; you never know what is going to happen
today.
Also I think plastic is a cool and innovative business. Because products are being improved
and new products are being invented all the time to enhance the exploitation of the materials and
to give the end-products better properties.
PUR is an "invisible, but always a present material". You spend a lot of your time in contact
with it (sleeping or sitting on it) without knowing it!
