The Baltic Specialised Care Division

Multiple Sclerosis, contrast media, hospitals.

Facts
The Specialised Care team is part of the Bayer Schering Pharma Division which is again part of the Bayer HealthCare subgroup.

The Baltic Specialised Care team has five members disperced in the various countries with a Product Specialist in each country, the Marketing Manager in Lithuania and the Business Unit Manager in Latvia.

The team does a lot of experience exchanging and visit each other every once in a while for coaching, cycle meetings and the annual Christmas meeting. Therefore a lot of travel is prerequisite.

In brief
Specialised Care handles Bayer products for e.g. multiple sclerosis (MS), which is the biggest Bayer Schering Pharma product in the Baltics, and Ultravist, which is the third biggest product, a contrast media for x-ray examination.

The main customers for Ultravist are hospitals, with 5-7 big crucial clients in each country.

Betaferon is included in the reimbursement list which would mean that people could get it with a prescription on the pharmacy. But in the Baltics all MS patients go to the same central ward in each country, and then the ward decides what products can be used.
