Sara Klittegaard
– Market Coordinator Consumer Care OTC Denmark
Marketing, advertising, strategies.
My day at work
As Market Coordinator Consumer Care OTC Denmark I am responsible for coordinating our marketing
activities for the products Canesten & Aspirin in Denmark. Therefore I often have contacts to
advertising agencies and media agencies. We have a system in Consumer Care that controls the
workflow of advertising, production etc. that I use a lot, also for discussing details or ideas
with our headquarter in Basel.
I also do a lot of web-related work such as Internet advertising and updating our new
homepage.
Last but not least I have just been appointed project manager for a new product that is in
our pipeline. This means monitoring the market, making strategic decisions, doing
pre-investigations, focus group interviews etc.
What I like about the Consumer Care Division
I like being part of a big organization even though my team is quite small.
The international perspectives, the challenges culturally and language-wise as well as having
an international network mean a lot to me. This is something that is increasing in Bayer these
years, and a very good thing if you ask me.
Also I appreciate the fact that even though or maybe because of each of us being almost
solely responsible for our individual tasks, that are very diverse from the tasks of other team
members, you can always get support from the rest of the team.
In addition to this the development opportunities in my team are very good and Bayer Nordic
is a flexible employer
How does one succeed with Consumer Care?
I don’t know precisely how to describe it. But to succeed with my team you must have some kind of
pioneer or entrepreneur spirit – always wanting to exceed and improve yourself.
And to be happy in our team you must like having great responsibilities as well as doing the
daily routine work of a small team
